Bangladesh car market is small compared to our neighboring countries. The number of vehicles per unit length of the roadway in Bangladesh is below 0.5%. The global average of the vehicle per unit length of the roadway is 12%. With rising purchasing power and need for personal vehicles is increasing the demand for cars and making a way for foreign automakers from around the globe to expand their business here in the passenger car segment.
According to the BRTA report, a total of 4,471,625 registered cars are available in Bangladesh of which only 370,519 are registered as Private Passenger Car, 105,896 microbus and 66,219 jeeps.
