Identity and History

Kwaishinsha Motor Car Works is the precursor of Nissan Motor Corporation Ltd, Nissan officially debuted in 1933. Before that, Masujiro Hashimoto founded Kwaishinsha Motor Car Works in 1911 and launched the first small passenger car DAT Car, in 1914. Yoshisuke Aikawa and William Gorham also took stakes in the corporation and formed Nissan in 1933. Nihon Sangyo was the holding company of Yoshisuke Aikawa, the name Nissan is the abbreviation of Nihon Sangyo. Yoshisuke Aikawa is also the founder of another well-known automobile brand ISUZU. AUTEN, NIMOS & INFINITY are premium brands of Nissan Motor Corporation Ltd.

Nissan began to export its vehicles to the international market from the late 1950s. During this period, Datsun 510 and Datsun 240Z were exported and successfully achieved the goal. Because of the sub-brand name Datsun, this significant time frame has been underlined as the Datsun of Era.
