Looks and Design: Honda is aiming to push the Civic to a slightly more upmarket position with a sleek and almost-fastback style that gave it some semblance of sporting declaration. it debuts a more grown-up appearance, new features, and a refined cabin design. According to the EPA, the most fuel-efficient version of the new Civic is the mid-range EX. The new Civic is offered solely with a front-wheel drive system. Sadly, the manual transmission offered on the previous generation Civic sedan has been cut for 2022 but the CVT transmission is still there. 

Fuel consumption: Through a combination of a turbocharged direct injection system, and variable valve timing mechanism the Civic offers a fuel consumption of 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway.
